Steven is passionate about the power and potential of the people of Georgetown-Pownal to build vibrant, sustainable communities. Before being elected, Steven demonstrated this belief as a volunteer and community builder in minor sports and local government. 

Steven has also put that belief into practice as MLA since 2011 by being a strong advocate for his district, championing improvements to local roads and bridges, and protecting government services in rural communities.

As Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Action, Steven is helping place Prince Edward Island on the cutting edge of adapting to the realities of climate change and in building a better future for the people of Georgetown-Pownal.
