Gail Shea was a constant presence in the PC Party. Her passing is deeply felt by those who had the privilege of working alongside her and learning from her.
Gail got her start in provincial politics, representing the people of western PEI with strength, fairness, and common sense. She brought those same qualities to her time in federal politics, where she made history as the first woman from Prince Edward Island appointed to the federal Cabinet.
She remained a loyal and active member of our party throughout her life - always ready to lend her voice, her experience, or a helping hand.
Gail was deeply respected, not just for what she accomplished, but for her straightforward approach and her commitment to the people she served.
