Victoria resident Jordan Johnston today announced his intention to seek the Progressive Conservative nomination for District 19, Borden-Kinkora, in the upcoming by-election.
“I’ve always had a deep love for the Island, its people, and our unique rural way of life. I would be honoured to have the opportunity to represent the concerns of Borden-Kinkora in the Legislature in the government of Premier Dennis King,” said Johnston.
Johnston is a graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island and has volunteered as a rugby coach at Bluefield High School and as a minor football coach with the Cornwall Timberwolves. Johnston currently works as Director of Parliamentary Affairs for MP Michael Barrett.
“I feel that my work and life experiences would make me a good representative for Borden-Kinkora and allow me to hit the ground running to be a strong advocate in Premier King’s government,” says Johnston.
Johnston lives in Victoria with his wife Sarah.
