Meet your Candidate: Kent Dollar
Kent Dollar is a dedicated community advocate, public servant, and lifelong resident of District 15: Brackley – Hunter River. With a deep commitment to the people and communities of his home district, Kent has spent his life working, volunteering, and raising his family in the same community he now seeks to represent in the Legislative Assembly.
Kent’s record of public service includes serving as a Councillor for the Rural Municipality of Brackley, where he focused on strengthening local infrastructure and supporting community needs. He also served as Executive Assistant to the Premier of Prince Edward Island, gaining valuable experience in advocating on behalf of Islanders.
A strong believer in grassroots engagement, Kent is a familiar face at community events and a committed volunteer. He has spent years coaching local youth in sports—most recently in ringette and previously in minor hockey—and is a proud supporter of PEI’s harness racing tradition.
Kent’s passion for public service is rooted in his upbringing. Raised on the family farm in South Winsloe by his mother Vaunda and the late Fred Dollar, Kent learned early the values of hard work, integrity, and giving back. Today, those same values guide his approach to leadership and community building.
Kent lives in South Winsloe with his wife, Natashia and their two children, Sophia and Ewan. His campaign for the Progressive Conservative nomination in District 15 is focused on the priorities that matter most to residents: improving roads and services, supporting families and seniors, and promoting thoughtful, community-driven growth across the district.
Kent Dollar brings energy, experience, and a lifelong connection to District 15—and he’s ready to be a strong voice for rural Prince Edward Island in the Legislative Assembly.
