Prince Edward Island has the lowest personal income tax exemption in Canada.
Every Islander is being unfairly treated and ripped off by the current government. Recently it quietly became public that this government just gave three well-connected businesses 6.74 million dollars in only 6 days. In theory, they could have increased the personal income tax exemption by 9% with these same funds. This would have helped each and every Islander; but instead the government decided to help two well-off, connected Islanders with a loan, the interest rate and terms unknown to anyone while other business owners and entrepreneurs must make viable cases to banks for financing.
This is wrong.
