Fortune Cove resident Ernie Hudson is seeking the Progressive Conservative nomination for District 26, Alberton-Bloomfield.
"West Prince is an amazing place to live, work, operate a business and raise a family" said Hudson. "We need to insure that health care, education, and job opportunities are given the same priority here that they are given elsewhere in the province. I feel that my background in private business as well as in government give me the skills to fight for these equal opportunities."
Hudson, who is a graduate of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and the University of Guelph, worked in West Prince for a number of years with the Department of Agriculture office and operated the family dairy farm in Cascumpec from for 27 years. Hudson later worked as Constituency Manager for Egmont MP, the Hon. Gail Shea, and as Chief of Staff in the Opposition Office.
Hudson presently sits on the Board of Stewards and Trustees of the O'Leary United Church and also on the Board of the Rev WJ Philips Residence, a community care facility in Alberton. Previously Huson served as Chair of the West Prince Health Board.
Ernie and his wife Marilyn live in Fortune Cove. They have two adult daughters and two grandchildren.
