Dr. Sarah Stewart-Clark 

PC Candidate, District 9: Charlottetown - Hillsborough 

Dr. Sarah Stewart-Clark is a scientist, mother and community advocate. Sarah grew up in Sherwood and attended Sherwood Elementary, Birchwood Jr High and Charlottetown Rural High School. She earned her BSc Hon and MSc degrees in the Faculty of Science and her doctorate from the Atlantic Veterinary College at UPEI. Sarah is an associate professor at the Faculty of Agriculture at Dalhousie University. Her research program is focused on helping Maritime oyster and mussel sectors prepare for climate change. In 2014 her work was featured on an episode of Land and Sea.

Sarah lives in Charlottetown and is married to Dr. Fraser Clark. She is the proud mother of Rory Clark and of a child lost in a miscarriage. Since the birth of her son in 2011, Sarah has helped build and lead local grassroots groups and campaigns to improve access to mental health services and to advocate for and serve vulnerable Islanders through Island Mothers Helping Mothers, #HowManyWade, and Christmas in the Village along with advocacy for survivors of sexual violence on Prince Edward Island. This extraordinary dedication to community service in PEI was acknowledged with a nomination in 2018 to receive the Order of Prince Edward Island.
